Tourism Business Succession Program: Time Sensitive Opportunity
Tourism Saskatchewan is launching a formal succession planning pilot for business owners looking for guided one-on-one help to set up their written plans for transition, and includes one-year free access to the SuccessionMatching marketplace for the business owners who complete their Formal Succession Plan. This platform is designed to match compatible sellers and buyers through a secure and discreet site to aid the transaction.
The Succession Planning program has been designed to assist tourism industry operators in understanding the essential steps to ensure their business is well-prepared for a successful sale or transfer. This program will provide actionable strategies to enhance business readiness, streamline the transition process, and avoid common pitfalls that can prevent a successful deal.
The program is free to participants and is open March 2025. Interested businesses must complete and submit the Expression of Interest Form as soon as possible. There is no deadline to submit an Expression of Interest form, however, each interested business owner will be considered and there are a limited number of available seats for the initial program delivery. The program includes professional coaching for 20 weeks through a minimum of 8 virtual meetings. Participating businesses will be required to have access to a computer that is connected to the internet, has video capabilities, and a microphone. |
