SEDA Email Compromise Follow-Up: Updated Information and Actions Taken

My sincere apologies for concerns, or potential security risks resulting from phishing emails being sent from a compromised email account on July 10. We took a number of steps immediately following the incident and I respectfully ask you to read our report on the incident and follow-up action.

Can Export Community Investments Funding Call for Proposals

This program is an important source of support for development and marketing efforts. They have now announced that the 2026–27 Call for Proposals will be open from January 5 - 30, 2026. Canadian community-level, non-profit organizations can get non-repayable grants of up to $500,000. These grants cover up to 50% of eligible expenses to help attract, retain, and expand foreign direct investment (FDI). NOTE: the program website has not been changed to reflect the January application window.

2025 Paths to Prosperity Speaker Profile: Todd Hirsch

The entertaining economist Todd Hirsch will kick off the summit with his keynote entitled “From Frenzy to Focus: Finding Clarity and Control in the Economic Chaos”. Attendees will also benefit from his 90 minute workshop “Strategic Moves: tools for navigating change in a world of Artificial Intelligence" which will dive deeper into 5 of the most relevant traits unique to successful adaptors.

AI Tool Spotlight
