Update on SIRI
Over the past ten months, with the support of PrairiesCan and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Trade and Export Development, SEDA has been implementing a two-year investment readiness and activation program called the Saskatchewan Investment Readiness Initiative (SIRI). Preliminary data analysis and assessment within the five geographic project areas is now complete. An update on deliverables and work currently underway can be found at the link below.
Cottage food enterprises are not just about small-scale production. They are a pathway to cultural revitalization, economic empowerment, and stronger community connections. For Indigenous women, these businesses provide a way to reconnect with ancestral food practices, share heritage with others, and contribute to broader movements for food sovereignty.
