Innovation & Economic Justice

'Kayak Court' provides the homeless with access to legal services in Salt Lake City. Social workers paddle or bike ahead of the legal teams to identify individuals who are open to legal counsel to resolve their issues. The case workers assess trauma and other mental health issues and decide if the person is a good candidate and ready for the service.
