Tourism Saskatchewan Funding Programs Open Tomorrow

Tourism Saskatchewan’s Tourism Diversification Program will be open for applications from November 1-December 15, 2022. The program helps established operators and Indigenous organizations/communities to diversify and expand product offerings, and be more resilient during challenging times.

Three streams of funding are available:

New Market(s) – attracts new markets for currently operating tourism business infrastructure

Seasonal Usage Expansion – assists businesses with expanding seasonal usage of both current and new tourism infrastructure

New Experiential Product Development – assists in the creation of new experiential product(s) for established tourism businesses

Partnerships can close gaps in health care delivery
Last week, Saskatchewan Health Minister Paul Merriman and Ahtahkakoop Chief Larry Ahenakew signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), committing to collaborate on a new 24/7 urgent care centre in the Saskatoon area. The MOU is set to expire on December 31, but may be extended for up to a year. The facility is intended to serve those in need of mental health care and serve those with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries as an alternative to emergency departments.
