Local Food Infrastructure Fund (LFIF) Now Open |

The application intake period will be open May 4, 2023 until May 31, 2023.
Eligible applicants include those organizations located in rural communities (population under 1,000); small cities (population between 1,000-29,999); Indigenous groups in either urban centres or rural areas (for example, Indigenous governments/communities and Indigenous not-for-profit organizations)
Examples of Infrastructure that Could be Requested to Strengthen the Local Food System:
Greenhouse, Gardens and fencing, Irrigation system for blueberry fields, Food forest of edible plants, Slaughtering and butchering equipment, Kitchen equipment/appliances, Smokehouse, Fridges and freezers, Refrigerated truck, Snowmobile and boat for hunting/fishing and Composting equipment.
