Funding Programs to Assist Local Businesses Restart & Reinvent

Two programs to cover training/knowledge acquisition expenses are currently available for businesses. The CanSask Job Grant reimburses 2/3 of training cost and the new Reopen Saskatchewan Grant (closes July 31) reimburses 100% of training expense.

Employees of the business are eligible to engage in the skills acquisition- not the business owner (and not municipalities or not-for-profit organizations). Applicants simply have to explain how it would help their business thrive and/or recover post-COVID. Training must occur within 4 months of funding approval.

SEDA’s Destination Creation Program will qualify for businesses, should they be interested.
