Introduction to Community and Economic Development

Introduction to Community and Economic Development Online provides training in core principles and practices for new entrants into the profession as well as community leaders and volunteers. This four module program includes audio lectures, manuals, learning assignments and self directed quizzes. The program is self-directed and can be undertaken by the participant at their own pace. Fund Development for Communities
In response to the need for increased competencies in community fund development, SEDA has developed an interactive one day workshop designed for community-based organizations, municipal leaders, and staff. Find out more HERE.

Economic Development for Municipal Leaders and Administrators
SEDA has delivered this module for 18 years as part of the Municipal Leadership Development Program for elected and appointed municipal leaders in Saskatchewan. The one day module helps find answers to key questions about economic development – what is economic development, who are the players, what role can the municipality play and what are the returns.

Economic Disaster Resilience & Recovery
Utilizing best practices from the many forerunners, who have by necessity, engaged in disaster recovery, SEDA has provided a planning framework for local business and community leaders to develop economic preparedness and recovery strategies for their own community. The Saskatchewan Economic Preparedness and Recovery Toolkit is supported by a one day WORKSHOP.
