The city of Mount Pearl, NL, identified that it was time to build and support high-growth sectors and attract new investment to combat slowing population growth, aging residents, limited physical space to expand, and a fluctuating oil industry. Mount Pearl designed a website to supply key industry-specific information, demographics, site selection tools, and incentive program data to provide decision-makers with details needed to easily choose to Upgrade to Mount Pearl.

Regional Collaboration for Recreation

By working together, several northeastern communities will hire a full-time regional recreation staff members through a pilot program with Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association. The new position will give the Town of Tisdale, the RMs of Tisdale and Connaught, and Kinistin Saulteaux Nation the ability to strengthen existing recreation opportunities in the region while also delivering new programs and activities.
