Poetry To Pop Up in Prince Albert

The City of Prince Albert is bringing some extra attention to an often-overlooked art form with a new project. The Poetry Pop Up is a collaborative project, with a local poet on board to help bring the project to life. Hope-themed poetry will be displayed along the riverbank and in the downtown area.

Raising the Bar in Rural

At a wine bar/café in a Tasmanian town, the morning coffees and evening cheeses are coming with a side of community and connection. The dual-purpose eatery is just one of several new shops popping up in the town, from a barbershop inside a converted trailer to a holiday home that’s being upgraded to an inn with a whiskey bar. Next up is getting the entrepreneurial community to work together to market the town to tourists.

Big Car Collaborative

Non-profit art and design organization Big Car Collaborative began in Indianapolis, Indiana almost 20 years ago. They combine art and community, utilizing tools of culture and creativity to help people connect as a way to boost quality of life. From collaborative public murals to installations and artist talks, the group focuses on active public programming in public spaces, creative placemaking and place keeping for people, and socially engaged art.
