BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SEDA is governed by a ten member board of directors. Directors occupy staggered two-year terms of office and have an opportunity to participate on subcommittees of the board. The board also includes ex-officio representation up to a number equal to that of elected board membership (10). Ex-officio positions are non-voting members that are invited by the office they hold. The Board governs through policies that establish organizational aims or ends, governance approach, management limitations and Board-CEO relationship. 2026 Call For Board of Directors Nominations

The organization is seeking board candidates who bring perspective and a passion for building prosperous local and regional economies. Nominations are invited from existing directors and new applicants. Three director positions are open for the 2026–2028 term. In accordance with SEDA’s bylaws, two of these positions must be filled by individuals working in community or economic development(directly employed or independent consultants). 2026 Board Nominations Package
