WHAT WE DO
Today, economic development is a wider concept than economic growth. It is inclusive to policies, programs and activities supporting the maintenance(or improvement) of economic well-being. As the exclusive non-governmental organization dedicated to provincial community and economic development, SEDA builds community capacity and fosters generational growth. As an alliance, we aim to provide a space where all sectors can share expertise and resources to support provincial prosperity.
Our Promise
SEDA provides return on membership investment though on-demand comprehensive resources and support, exceptional experiences and a vibrant community of members, allies and partners. We remain steadfast in supporting the social and economic health of Saskatchewan communities, working behind the scenes provincially – and alongside local leaders at a local level.
These Values help us achieve our mission:
Trusted. Demonstrating integrity and credibility for over 40 years.
Inclusive. Collaboratively connecting Saskatchewan communities.
Innovative. Inspiring innovation and resilience.
Knowledgeable. Fostering informed capacity building.
Strategic. Advancing leadership in community and economic development
SEDA has a longstanding culture of self-reliance, which we encourage in others. As a Certified Social Enterprise, SEDA is an independent non-profit organization, not funded by the public sector or any granting agency. All revenue to support the fulfillment of our mandate is self-generated via program and service delivery.
