| Connecting the Dots: The Role of Community Safety & Well-being Hosted by SEDA This interactive forum provides a practical overview of Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) planning, and will include a roundtable of communities actively implementing their plans. Participants will gain insights from proven best practices and hear directly from communities advancing this work. The session will also feature a cross-sector panel exploring how stronger alignment across sectors and community partners can enhance collective impact. View Full Forum Agenda Below ↓ | SPRA Meeting (by invitation) | Economic Development Fundamentals for Elected Officials & Administrative Staff 9:00 AM – 4:30 PMFacilitator: Christina Birch This full day session will equip participants with foundational economic development concepts and strategies, and equip them with steps necessary to identify opportunities. Learning objectives: 1. Ten Things We Want You to Know: Provide the context for community and economic development today. 2. The Fundamentals: How elected officials can actively participate in and lead long-term development strategies that make sense for their community. 3. Staffing and Organization Structure: Review potential frameworks for local and regional economic development operations. A 60 page participant manual (digital format) is provided to each participant. | |
